It's 2010, and it's time to get serious about reppin'for the Lord! I am appealling to Pastors, Deacons and all who are responsible for the delivery of God's word through a Church. You have some work to do! There are many who have abandoned the Churches, because they don't trust you. Some things have happened in the Church, maybe not you personally, but by someone dressed like you, in a building with a steeple, standing behind a pulpit, with a congregation of people and they attempted to cover their manipulative tracks by using God's word.
When you step into a Church, you have just stepped into God's House on earth. There should be a pure, genuine sense of love and peace. The activities performed in such a divine house, must be innocent. The sermons heard are meant to teach about God sacrificing His only son, Jesus, so that we may have eternal life...therefore, changing sinful ways. The Lord's spirit fills the place, as you deliver His message to the ill,lost, heartbroken and those wanting to know Christ and develop a personal relationship.
Before opening your Church doors again...Do some soul searching to remember why you decided to become a Pastor. If you are in it for the wrong reasons, and years of ministering hasn't encouraged you to change, you owe it to God to confess and do the right thing...rather it may be stepping down and seeking counselling...etc. Pray to God for forgiveness, ask Him to be with you.
Pastors who are making a difference... please continue spreading God's real deliverance to all who are in your hands. Get God's house in order and prepare all for the Lord's return!
If your Church is led by a Pastor who you wouldn't trade in for all of the riches in the world and making a difference, tell me about him/her!
Colossians 1:16-18
16 Through his power all things were made—things in heaven and on earth, things seen and unseen, all powers, authorities, lords, and rulers. All things were made through Christ and for Christ.17 He was there before anything was made, and all things continue because of him.18 He is the head of the body, which is the church. Everything comes from him. He is the first one who was raised from the dead. So in all things Jesus has first place.
